About Melanie April

Melanie is a curious, creative thinker and watercolor artist living in Sarasota, Florida.

Her work is motivated by light, color, nature and the mystical. She has a love for detail and is passionate about working on her craft.

She offers online watercolor classes via her website that are geared toward the beginning artist and explorer. She loves sharing her knowledge in a fun and light-hearted way.

She is currently studying astrology and letting the language of myths and archetypes inform a new landscape in her work. It is a vast territory that is providing endless ideas and inspiration.

When she is not painting or studying, she loves playing card games with her husband, reading poetry, listening to music and watching TV with her dog.
